The video was the same and probably put on to wake up the "ossans" who get
sent to these things by their company just to get them out of the office ;)

Again what was interesting was the "MAGIC" vision not the video. This is not
something they are planning for 2010; ASPs where showcasing working i-mode
apps which are available now. Admittedly the applications where all very
similar with scheduling, project management, etc. and many of the ASPs
market within their own company group but with DoCoMo introducing an agent
system to promote and work with ASPs, we should see some interesting
services coming to market in the near future.

If I remember correctly the "MAGIC" vision is:

M - Mobile Multimedia
A - Anytime, Anywhere, Anyone
G - Global Mobility Support
I - Integrated Wireless Solution
C - Customised Personal Service

The seminar was focused on the "I" and "C" parts. One sticky point I see
with the DoCoMo ASP vision is the lack of any SLA with the i-mode network
and as DoCoMo do not offer i-mode on PHS, you don't have the alternative of
running your own company gateways to ensure access to your applications.
