Given the previous discussions about the importance of quality content
(and getting content providers to invest in creating it), I thought this
DRM software was interesting. By now means does it seem unique,
as there are many other DRM vendors, (intertrust, contentguard, msft, etc.),
but it is from NTT.
"Tokyo) NTT Comware, a unit of Japanese telco NTT, announced on Monday the
release of two new digital rights management systems. The Copyright
Clearance System handles copyright clearance procedures between the owners
of copyrights and distributors, while the Dynamic Value Creation DRM
System enables owners and distributors to assign charges and value to
content at the time of use by the customer, not when content is provided
on the network."
