Whereabouts would this be? Can you provide the store locations and
names, perhaps?

I played with a functioning D505i at a Yadabashi Camera in Shinjuku this
evening, but it's a bit disappointing that you can't even try out the
web browser. And not having any incoming e-mail, it's hard to check how
easy it is to copy items from it for pasting elsewhere (a very frequent
operation for me).

I think in the end, borrowing or renting a phone for a few days is the
only real solution.
