Neither NetFront (i-mode, ez-web, etc.) nor Openwave (ez-web) browsers
support meta tag refresh and this seems to be by design as it allows
for a very simple technique for content branching between mobile and
desktop users. Access, the makers of NetFront, actually use this
technique on their site (http://www.access.co.jp/) so I doubt Netfront
will support meta refresh any time soon.

Of course using meta refresh for content branching if fraught with
danger as you never know when a mobile browser is going to come along
that supports this tag, aka Opera.
