We suspect the problem is due to several (i.e. 5 or more) different
applications running on a the single Tomcat App Server. Tomcat seems to just
get confused between sessions across the different apps. This is not proven
yet. We could just buy Weblogic ( ha ha ha)

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I.e., what exactly is
Orion doing that Tomcat was not, in terms of cookies, URL rewriting,
etc.?
