Electric Sailboat / Yacht Project
April 20th, 2006
My friend Janne, owner of Electric Ocean has a fixation about sailing and making the future world a better place. He has recently started a blog about his electric powered sail boat / yacht project. Driving an Elcat electricity powered car and hacking with Piktronik battery chargers and Tacktick navigation instruments you know he is serious about his dream.
He is absolutely correct. If sailboats are white, elegant and beautifull. Why do they still have dirty and loud combustion engine under their decks for the no-wind days?
How to Recycle Red Bull Cans
September 21st, 2005
If you have trouble trying to make recycling machines accept your empty Red Bull cans try this simple trick: Remove the pull tab from the aluminium can and try again. I discovered this while trying to figure out why some cans were accepted and some were not. My quess is that the pull tab on Red Bull cans is not aluminium but stainless steel. The sensors in recycling machine think the whole beverage can is made of stainless steel and rejects it in order to protect the machinery.
