IDO, Cellular Phone Group to Start Location Information Service
June 27, 2000 (TOKYO) -- IDO Corp. and the companies that belong to DDI Corp.'s
Cellular Group will launch a new service in July that will provide real-time
positioning data to users via their cdmaOne mobile phone handsets. [...] The new
service should allow companies that provide content for "EZweb" -- a service
that DDI group's cell phone subscribers can use to access the Internet -- to
start offering users maps that show their current location and details about
stores in the vicinity.
