based on packet charges, just downloading an i-appli, even at the max size of 10K,
should cost about 24yen.
so, the additional charges must have been due to the i-appli accessing the network.

like i hinted at once before, it would be nice to have an indicator (LED) of
network access, so you know that your i-appli is busy running up charges.
perhaps some authors will integrate that into their i-appli designs.
