I've started casting around for people who are
willing to donate starter material that's already
in this kind of format, waiting to hear back.

I agree.  I've been brief partly out of laziness, partly to get
a lot of stuff fast, partly to tantalize potential contributors.

Well, if you want to merge diffs, OK.  Best to
have some informal division of labor, and this will
probably emerge anyway.

Didn't know whether to reply to tuupolo@appelsiini.net
or to keitai-l@appelsiini.net so I sent it to the latter.
I'd prefer an administered list, but a CC list might be
OK for the time being.

Like I said, I'd be happy just to supply these raw indices
into the list.  It's a great chance to review, for one thing.
And a quick way to produce something semi-adequate
while some better product is being crafted.
