I can imagine that being a common misconception!  I've heard many people
compare i-appli to Java Applets.  I actually think that's not such a
good comparison because i-appli are more like real applications.  You
download them just like you download a windoze .exe file and they are
installed into your system ready to be used whenever you want to use
them.  Applets however typically embed themselves into a Web page and
once the page is gone...so is the Applet!
