The DoJa SDK is almost identical to the MIDP SDK that is publicly
available from Sun. So I'm pretty sure that Sun simply modified their
MIDP SDK to work with the DoJa APIs. I guess that DoCoMo contracted Sun
to do this - if so technically giving DoCoMo rights over this particular
version but Sun have the rights over the software in general.

I don't think Sun made the demo application too big to get back at
DoCoMo at all. It's probably just simply that the Sun engineers didn't
know about anything about the specs of the phones.

I generally refer to the development kit as DoCoMo's SDK even though it
was made by Sun.
