Sure Michael,

I agree with you, the industry is currently in an interim phase, nervously
waiting for consumer feedback on the videophones, as the rest of the world
admires Japan's technology adventures.  They have not succeeded yet and only
time will tell if subscribers truly find these devices indispensable.
However, they will be available in one shape or form to the rest of the
world within the next two to three years.  Consumers will want them (they
already do), just as the 147,000 applicants that signed up to test DoCoMo's
FOMA phones.  How many of them will continue using the device?  I guess
we'll have to wait until the next rollout in October to find out.  It's
difficult to predict but I have optimistic expectations as long as
compulsive buyers exist and as long as their savings are used to buy these
devices and services.
