Hi Joshua,

> Ren- Does FOMA also charge on a per packet basis?

yes, it does, but the packet price is different and depends on the packet
bundle you choose:

- Packet pack 80: 8,000 Yen monthly flat fee + 0.02 yen per packet
afterwards

- Packet pack 40: 4,000 Yen monthly flat fee + 0.05 Yen per packet
afterwards

- Packet pack 20: 2,000 Yen monthly flat fee + 0.1 Yen per packet afterwards

- No packet pack: No monthly flat fee + 0.2 Yen per packet

You can additionally use the fee allowance in the basic phone subscription
plans for your packet traffic as well:

- Plan 150: 15,000 Yen (incl. 11,600 Yen usage)

- Plan 100: 10,000 Yen (incl. 7,300 Yen usage)

- Plan 67: 6,700 Yen (incl. 4,000 Yen usage)

- Plan 39: 3,900 Yen (incl. 700 Yen usage)

- Data Plan 22: 2,200 Yen (incl. 0 Yen usage)

Therefore, the above listed i-mode packet plans will be calculated, *after*
the packets included in the basic phone subscription plans have been "used"
already.

Hope this helps,
Andrea Hoffmann
