In the first releases on the Nokia 7650 it was said that it was about to
support XHTML Basic, essentially WAP 2.
But Nokia seems to have changed their mind, and now only supports WAP 1.2.1
with image format extensions such as GIF, PNG and hm... TIFF.
This is weird. Why?

Not too good for the industry, in my opinion (but more work for our
Quasimode). Sony Ericsson will have XHTML Basic support at this time.
