i would really like to know the reason also.

for keitai java app developers, it doesn't help when the market is 
segmented between java phones and picture phones.  don't understand why the 
new docomo picture phones didn't come with java.  perhaps the reason was 
price driven.  embedding a jvm increases the cost, and perhaps docomo 
wanted the picture phones to be as cheap as possible to make it easier for 
teenagers to buy and take market share away from jphone and au?  can't 
imagine a jvm adding that much to the cost of the phone though...

to confirm, do jphone and au's picture phones all come with jvms?
