since DoCoMo and au/KDDI have both gone the same direction as JSCL
which is kind of a compromise between Java and BREW, it's obvious
that enhanced features are well worth the cost of certification.
of course you can use something else if feel being ripped off by
Qualcomm. so the Koreans created WIPI.
after long delay, au/KDDI finally upgraded their Java to phase 3
last November and that cannot be only for throwing it away.
