Nope. Cingular(*) has the most customers and the widest coverage, and
they are MIDP-friendly. Verizon is #2 (they now claim to have the
"most reliable wireless network"). Sprint/Nextel are close behind,
and they are very MIDP-friendly. Then T-Mobile. MIDP.
So the tilt is heavily in favor or MIDP.
