Well, we found the issue: it turns out that we were, via a typo, using
"N*" rather than "*N" as the format attribute on the text input tag, and
this causes AU keitai to behave quite strangely.
I'm not sure what was up with the issues we were seeing with the other
forms without the format attribute, but there appeared to be a bit of
weird caching stuff going on.
