6 KB is the max page size inclduing text and all images according 
to http://puccini.cs.kobe-u.ac.jp/~koichi/cellular/skyweb.html. 
it's also the max files size for a single image on j-phone.

yes, all new J-Phone microbrowsers from September 2000 on will 
support JPEG images, see here (Japanese):

The first models are: J-D03, J-PE03, J-K03

JPEG Images with more then 256 colors can be used but the 
colors will be reduced to 256.
