Folks,
According to Sun it the "Mobile Information Device Profile" variant of the
"Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition, 1.0".
It has a quite big "lcdui" package including things like a Ticker class
(which does exactly what it says in the tin).
Getting a MIDlet onto a phone shouldn't be more difficult in theory than
downloading an applet onto your PC.
