Stats I have at hand from an interview with g-mode: not sure how recent nor
accurate they are:

From the IP side of things:
There are currently around 730 IPs offering i-menu content
A total of 1,340 service offerings
Out of these, 460 odd are fee-paying sites (100 to 300 yen per month)
Average yearly revenue is 98,000,000 yen per site

(makes for a yearly content (information) market worth 460 * 98,000,000 =
45,080,000,000 yen)

Or from the user side of things:
Apparently out of the 17,000,000 i-mode subscribers, some 8,500,000
subscribe to fee-paying content
With the users of fee paying services subscribing to 2.2 sites on average
and the average price per main menu site at 200 yen per month

(makes for a yearly content market worth 8,500,000 * 2.2 * 200 yen * 12
months =  44,880,000,000 yen (450 oku))
