http://www2.j-phone-west.com/funtoj/faq/index.html has the pixel sizes of
screens which may help you calculate the column and line specs for J-SKY.

Another question is why J-Phone believe not keeping a central list of full
browser specs helps promote development of the K-Sky platform?

Subject: (keitai-l) J-Phone characters per line

Does anyone have an accurate list of the number of characters per line
displayed on J-Sky browsers?

Here's a list I've compiled, but there are several I'm not sure about. I
tended to err conservatively since I'm using these in a line-wrapping
function.

J-DN02
     characters = 8;  //?

J-DN03
     characters = 10; //?

J-P02
     characters = 8; //?

J-P03
     characters = 8;

J-SA02
     characters = 8;

J-SH02
     characters = 8; //?

J-SH03
     characters = 8;

J-SH04
     characters = 8;

J-SH05
     characters = 10;

J-T04
     characters = 8;

J-T05
     characters = 10;

J-K03
     characters = 8;

J-K04
     characters = 8; //?

J-D03
     characters = 10;

J-D04
     characters = 10;

J-PE03
     characters = 10;

J-N03
     characters = 10;

J-NM01
     characters = 8;
     // ? looked like 10 but max is 264...8? 12?

J-K02
     characters = 8;

J-SY01
     characters = 8; //?

J-DN01
     characters = 6; //?

J-D01
     characters = 6; //?

J-SA03
     characters = 8; //?

J-SH06
     characters = 10; //?
