No

No (Nokia and Motorola are both about to launch 'smart phones' with Java, 
but these aren't mass-market products)

Very little. NEC and Panasonic have a few decent but unexciting models on 
the market. Samsung has a Startac clone out. None have big screens. I can;t 
speak for the chips, though,  but my suspicion

Sony has two good handsets (by European standards), and is to launch one 
with Music stick and MP3.

offering.
