besides ketai, cable and hex editor, detailed information about the MFI
format would be very helpful too. i already found some nice inofficial
specs (japanese) which seem to be rather complete:

but if you know of any other sources, please let me know.
it looks like a pretty rich format (direct control of FM ops, wave
forms, envelopes, effects, etc) and i wonder why docomo/manufactorers
don't make it available for developers like they do with the rest of the
api.
