Don't remember anyone mentioning this on the list yet, but when you
buy a new DoCoMo phone now, the email address doesn't default to the
phone number anymore, but rather a 20 character long string of random
alphanumerics. If you do an address reset, it resets back to the
telephone number as before.
The in phone menu, ie menu-0 on the phone still displays the telephone
number address so I'm not sure if it will confuse the odd user. I was
wondering, if the telephone number address would work from inside the
docomo network, but I tested it and only the one address works as per
before.
I guess the good news is that new phones won't immediately get spammed,
but when you change the address to something easier to remember, its
still a matter of time before the spammers figure it out, until DoCoMo
put in some spam filtering on their side.
