(keitai-l) KDDI phones

Hi ,

Can any body tell me whether the KDDI phones i.e for HDML support dieresis or umlaut mark " ÿ "  characters. 

I have test page which has these characters and I get compile error on UP Emualtor. 

Anybody has faced this problem or know any workaround ?
