Navigation related services and contents are expected to be one of the
largest markets in the mobile Internet. A report on my home page entitled
"Japanese Mobile Internet Navigation Services: Competition between train
information, map, and destination information providers" analyzes the
markets for and competition between navigation-related contents in Japan.
The report uses concepts that are described in more detail in "The Mobile
