Indeed the emulator or screen shots are fine up to a point.  Some of the
location based services and photo/video apps are presumably are most
convincingly demonstrated via a live phone.

That is great for static demonstrations, but to simply plug the phone into a
PC and render the screen to a larger display via the PC screen port would be
impressive for demonstrating the functionality in real time.

I usually show screen shots scanned via digital camera
into my computer. These screen shots can be incorporated
into PowerPoint presentations.
