J-Phone showed us this bar code reading function before they released their
SH-52 a couple of months back.
We have had some interest from an SI wanting to integrate the feature into
an internet ordering system for lunchtime obento at convenis.
Order from your desktop or PDA, add the cost to your phone bill, and using
the bar code scanner for confirmation, pick it up outside the store during
busy lunchhour without going inside.
Neat use of the feature for ecommerce rather than just for information flow.

True enough - it has been tried - but it actually begins to make SENSE on
a phone, where othe input methods are tedious....
