I recommend getting and installing the "jwhois" program, if you have a
Unix machine handy. It knows about most of the regional whois servers
(for both domains and IP addresses), and can do the follow-up requests
automatically. See the appended log for an example. (Though it doesn't
seem to have done the proper follow-up to jpnic here; I ought to fix
that in the config file.)
