In fact as far as web and mobile service adoption goes minitel is =
usually
seen as something that held things back. Also most minitel usage occurs
during the working day when the company pays.

FYI Juergen, English living in Paris so not sure if I count

Juergen,=3D20

If you look at the entire mobile data sector, rather than simply i-mode =
in =3D
isolation, the picture is quite different. France is well behind most =
Europ=3D
ean markets in mobile data adoption, so the Bouygues figures are quite =
impr=3D
essive for that reason. Overall, though, the French market shows little =
sig=3D
n of Minitel paving the way for mobile data. French operators are only =
reac=3D
hing around 10% share of revenues from mobile data, while the German =
ones a=3D
re approaching 20%.=3D20
