 From NY Times:

T -MOBILE DROPS PLANNED MICROSOFT PHONE

Europe's second-largest mobile phone operator,
T-Mobile International, said yesterday that it had
shelved plans to introduce a mobile phone powered
by Microsoft software. T-Mobile announced in February
it planned to introduce the Microsoft phone this summer,
in a move analysts saw as a blow to Nokia, the mobile
handset industry leader. But industry sources said
Microsoft's phone software still had "fundamental
problems" leading to high failure rates. No one at
Microsoft was immediately available to comment.

This is like a rock for MS Smartphone credibility :

Microsoft's phone software still had "fundamental
problems" leading to high failure rates.

Also Orange Microsoft SPV Mobile Phone received
a very cold welcome from the market and it is not
selling well in UK.

Nokia and Symbian are more and more close
to a EU Smartphone market monopoly...

I really look forward to see the new Panasonic Series 60
based phone.

Cheers

Giovanni
