Yes. Except that "some point" came a couple of months ago. All the 505
series include an i-appli that allows you to program the infra-red port
to control devices in your home.

It did start. It started when that company came out with those little
tanks that are controlled via infra-red....
I just realized, they have a big display of these that people can play
with in a shop in Akihabara. I gotta program my keitai (when I get it),
go down there, and...uh..."check my mail" while they're playing. :-)
