I think classical ringtone downloads, etc., contribute a lot to
the high traffic to official sites from PDC. the contents value
only a small portion and the packet charge constitutes most of
the wireless data economy.
btw, does anyone know the details of Vodafone's new packet plans?
on download size limits, they are 10, 20, and 30 KBs depending on
what kind of data you are downloading. 2xx series phones can only
do 10 KBs and the new 504/505 can do 20 KBs. DoCoMo has the habit
of hard-wiring everything.
