Yes Hans I knew about BASE. That's why french users are so jalous and made a petition to Bouygues.
i-mode users in France won't use it much if there are no better rates :
3€ per month for access + 0.01 € / kb + 0 to 3€ per service.
For example in june I used it not so much, but regularly and had 5Mo this mean 50€ ! This month I'm doing 3.5 Mo so far.
When you consider all french WAP operators have 6€ flat rate services just like BASE's i-mode you think that Bouygues should really do something about it ...
Well they now have an data package with 5€ per month for 750kb (so i-mode cost you 8€ per month for 750kb). But I think that is ridiculous.
On another hand, handset are cheap. The NEC 22i is 29€ now, the N223i is 49€ and the Nec341i is 199€.
IMO, KPN's i-mode packages or even mMode's are good models (BASE and WAP operators are even better but ain't they killing the golden goose [Bouygues's own words] ? ).

BASE in Belgium already has flat rate for i-mode traffic. For a total of EUR 6 you have unlimited access to i-mode as far as traffic is concerned.
Does the WIND offer also include content as part of a flat rate model?
