It depends on what is pushed and how often that happens.
It's beginning to look like I may need to have a system that creates new
email addresses for every user and then forwards the emails onto the
phones.
Not ideal, but it will work.

even if there was a server side mailbox and even if you could access
that mailbox, i don't see how you would stop span as the mails are
_pushed_ onto the phone the very moment the server receives them.
