it's not easy to say if having something is better than nothing. 
it depends on the pattern of cost and usefulness.  an example might 
be a woman of mass destruction.  it's dilemma. 

many blame the failure of WAP to services not optimized for mobile 
phones.  but WAP itself is optimized from the beginning. 

(2) 
around the same time of the C-HTML, Japanese developed BML which is 
XML for digital broadcasting (ARIB STD-B24).  it's the WML for ISDB, 
Japanese digital TV which is the best system for mobile reception. 

is there anyone here complains that BML should be based on HTML? 
HTML, a great hypertext of the Web age, isn't a well-thought design. 

(3) 
i-mode has three parts 

the i-mode business is a legendary success we have a lot to learn 
the i-mode service is fairly good but not better than EZ or J-Sky 
the i-mode technology is a genuine piece of rubbish
