Don't think much has changed. Could be wrong - as you may know, AU (using
Qualcomm technology) has had GPS access in their Java implementation &
camera phones for about 3 years. There has been at least one third-party GPS
addon for DoCoMo's i-mode phones & there was a recent-model GPS model
(F506iGPS, if memory serves, from Fujitsu). i-area is DoCoMo's main LBS
offering.
