In the reporting I heard, Jobs promised the price would be nearly the
same in all markets -- $199US for the 8GB version and $299 for the
16GB version. Other reporting also pointed out that the monthly rates
were increased by AT&T to slightly more than offset the price
reduction -- amortized over two years.
Could Softbank have a different calling/data/price plan just for the iPhone?
