Reasons for having i-mode (source- a Japanese imode magazine, imode style 
maybe i dont remember)

email 50%  (which is funny since imode handles less characters than other 
phones)
contents 28.2%
friends have 5.3%
other reason 8%
no reason 8.4%

Another usage chart
imode use  (probably what users generaly use their phone for)
89% email
50% business
12% entertainment
