From my reading of the Docomo Technical Journal relating to the design of
i-mode, Docomo specifically do not pass on user's telephone number but a
unique subscriber ID to premium content sites. This was a deliberate act of
privacy-maintenance. It is always possible to ask the user for their number
of course, but is not reliable and is not automatic of course.
