I think "browser screen size" is the pixel dimensions of the LCD wafer on
the NM502i. We have just got a P209is in the office and although I had to
use a modified height test, results where exactly the same as DoCoMo specs
at 98x97 pixels. Perhaps it is just a problem with the NM502i.

Of note for i-mode detectors everywhere:
DoCoMo has changed the specs at
http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/mc-user/i/tag/s5.html adding newer phones
(N821i,P821i,R209i,P209is) and altering some of the pixels dimensions of
older phones (P209i shrinks from the unimaginable 255 pixels down to a
modest 97 pixels).
