Yeuch - I hate earthquakes.... (we have just had a looooooong tremor down
here in Fukuoka - my office is built on a faultline..)

Which leads me on to wondering -

1) How susceptible to eathquakes is the docomo infrastructure?
Presumably a lot of data is carried by landline.

2) Are there any decent English language imode earthquake sites to give
information to English speakers in the event of a serious quake? I spent
some time in Kobe taking relief supplies up after the Kobe 'quake and I
saw how uninterested/incompetent/slow "official Japan's" response was.

In the event of a quake, the only thing I am likely to have with me is my
keitai, so if the docomo infrastructure is still functional, imode would
be a good information medium....

gentle plea: some recent posts have contained an awful lot of unnecessary
quoting...
