It's not possible as far as I know. You can oly load on gifs, melody files
and things like address book entries. Web pages and iApplis must come over
the air.

Subject: (keitai-l) Using IR port instead of radio interface on i-mode

Does anyone know if it's possible (or has anyone tried) to use the infrared
port on i-mode phones to access a web site rather than the radio interface?

An article in the june issue of DoCoMo's Technical Journal seems to imply
that it's possible to use the IR port for data communications in addition to
the standard exchange of objects. It's not clear whether they mean the
ability to use the phone as a modem/gateway to the internet from a laptop,
or using the laptop as a gateway to the internet from the phone.

Thanks,
