Buy a used one from someone who has upgraded to a newer model.

forgive the off topic post......
But i just arrived in tokyo and would like to get a imode phone.
I have less than 10 000 Yen to spend, but would like to get a good 503
model. Ideally, i like the N503i...... but it is around 30 000?
So, can someone suggest a good phone to get, and also any places where i can
pick it up for a bargain. I will be signing onto a contract, and have the
neccessary visas, etc...
Aside from talking, I will also be using it to test and develop database
