One of keywords defines more a protocol then a service (WAP), the other two
are markup languages (cHTML and MML), which might soon be replaced by xHTML.

Its generally better to distinguish the different services by their brand
name and by the carrier who is offering them. Accordingly, the three major
mobile Internet services in Japan are called i-mode (provided by NTT
DoCoMo), EZweb (provided by au/KDDI) and J-Sky (provided by J-Phone). I know
that the table might be outdated in terms of actual facts, but on Mobile
Media Japan you can find a basic comparison of these three services and
their current implementation
(http://discuss.mobilemediajapan.com/stories/storyReader$1432).

You can also find an introduction and comparison of "the other i-mode's"
(mobile Internet competitors in Japan) in the June 2001 edition of Japan
Inc. (http://www.japaninc.net/mag/comp/2001/06/jun01_investor_imode.html).
The article states two more rivaling services besides the three listed
above: H" by DDI Pocket and Dot-I by Astel group.

Cheers,
Andrea
