you misunderstand: 
the Cmode trademark is owned by Coca-Cola not by DoCoMo.

(actually we have just released a report about Cmode where
all this is explained in detail. Maybe you are interested,
there is a link to the URL for the pdf-file of the report

Also the display of the barcode may be an invention of the other
partners involved. I know one of the designers of the machine, and
he is not employed by DoCoMo. Whether the patent belongs to DoCoMo
or not will depend on the details of the contract between this designer
and DoCoMo, which of course I do not know.
