Ah, right. I met you at a party of one of these
startup VC money burners once.
Basically you will have 2 problems with maps, the space
and the color. Check this page and you see the difference
in color rendering for mobile phones:

And it doesn't get better with new Keitais, it just gets
more different.
The best thing I can suggest you is to use less colors.
