I think you should also list the spread spectrum technology, invented 
by Hedi Lamar (yes, the actress) who turned over the patents to the US 
government prior WWII to allow the technology to be used for guided 
torpedoes among other potential uses. This is a rather key element to 
most wireless systems today, and Ms. Lamar deserves more credit than 
she has generally been given.
