The "walled garden" is weeded, watered, has free, easy access for
developers, reasonable documentation, etc etc. cHTML is a standard (in
itself) and coding a site for imode is trivial. If the standard goes, what
the hell - it only took an afternoon to code a gateway....
Comparing IMode and wap is more like comparing a large, free park, with a
particularly tangled bit of the Amazon rain forest.
